Hello friends! Guess what! I’ve had a bit of an obsession with themed records for a while now. Many little themed EPs have been scattered throughout my early music making endeavors. But HAINT IN THE HOLLER 1 IS OUT NOW!This one means the most to me. This one carries the weight I always intended and honestly is the first of many. The reason this is titled Haint in the Holler 1 is because I’m already working on Haint in the Holler 2. This one was a record about Appalachia and death. The next one is too, but the death it is going to about is more loss focused. This release encompasses a lot of thoughts and feelings lately and while it is not a traditional Appalachian music record, it is so heavily influenced and inspired by it. I want to take this moment to give some shoutouts to some of the folks that helped me out on this record.Namely Wes Coatney for playing fiddle on Still Kicking.Jacan Ward for producing Hillbilly Reaper.Natalie Randolph for always supporting me and for being the greatest muse any man could ask for (I love you honey). My parents for their constant support and for taking us in while we save money for our new house.I’d like to thank my old house for being the place that lent itself to hosting the recording and making of this record. And finally, I want to thank my family back in the mountains for the positive feedback on this record and I’m excited to share more songs with you all!God Bless you all, and Catch ya’ll in the holler!
